Hello Jacqui
I would suggest you pose this question to the Rootsweb Middleton List.
Heywood and Bury are about 3 to 4 miles from Middleton. This list is quite
active.

Heap is between Bury and Heywood.

St James ran off Bridge street which was part of the main road between Bury
and Heywood.

Bond street in Bury was on the south side of the same main road.
These are from my A to Z map book dated around 1970.

I have sent you two copies of these map sections dated from the year 1893
directly to you.
