I have been looking at the 1851 census for my Gee ancestors.
My Thomas Gee( born 1805 ) was at 5 Pinfold, ( hand loom weaver )
another Thomas Gee, 10 years older ( ag. lab ) is listed next at 6 Bank.
The following name is Betty Gee at 7 Bank, who is listed as a farmer and
Mary Woodley, a servant. Also a grand daughter, Mary Smith.
Following Bank are the Coal Pits.
Was there a farm at 7 Bank? What was the area like ? Would anyone know
if it was a small farm?
Right by the Gee's are Frederick Booth and Amos Booth. Is anyone
familiar with these families?
Many Thanks
Ruth
