Hi,
I just checked out the Lancashire Wills & Admin site and found some
information there however was distressed at the thought of ordering in 3
films (covering the last half of the alphabet in one year) to find one will.
I checked the same entries on the Cheshire Records Office Wills Database and
found there some of the same wills/admons. It costs a lot less to order one
photocopy there than to order in three films. One item I ordered a few weeks
ago was 20 pages long too!
Trying to do genealogy on a (blown) budget!

Hi Anouska,
Many thanks for your helpful suggestion.
Another useful site is www.xmission.com/~nelsonb/lws.htm - Wills & Admin
of Lancashire c.1590-1857. Includes many Cheshire wills, dates, places,
type of document, and film number.
