What a pity adoption was not made legal until 1926, like me many people will
never find lost relatives. My lost relative being my fathers twin, my
grandmother gave him away at birth to a relative, so his birth was not
recorded in 1912 to my grandmother, only my father's birth, I tried tracing
him, but they had no record of him in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, this would have
been because he was given away at birth. Dad use to play with him as a child
then they lost touch, he found him years later but then dad became ill, so
they never got to meet again. I wonder how many other families this happened
