Hello Geoff

The first page of the microfiche says, "The Memorial Inscriptions of St
Mary's Churchyard, Astbury. The Family History Society of Cheshire.
Congleton Group."

The Introduction begins, "The aim was to copy as many of the memorial
inscriptions of the graves in the Churchyard as possible before they
were lost forever by the action of time, weather and
decay..............." The information is obviously taken from the
gravestones and not from any other source.

Whilst the text on the fiche doesn't actually give a date when it was
compiled the header strip on the microfiche has 1990 so I would guess
the work was done from about 1985 to the final production in 1990.
