Hi Lynne
>If you read Edelbar with a Liverpudlian accent it will become clear!
But Ebeldar HASTINGS (in my own family tree as well as Marie's) was born in
Crewe of Brummie parents?
Her birth (in 1858) is recorded as Ebeldar in the GRO Index, Free BMD and
Cheshire BMD.
In her marriage entry (1880) she's Everelda, which was also the name she
gave to a daughter born 1898 in Birkenhead.
Regards
Gordon
