Hi Lyn

Are the transcripts online for St Mary's on the Hill?
I am looking for William DAVIES b 1858, His parents married in Chester in 1843 but his father was in the Cheshire Regiment and was posted to Cape of Good Hope, South Africa.
They moved back to UK after a few children to Hull, another child there, then they moved to Chatham in Kent. This is where William puts as his place of birth. They moved the same year back to Chester as his father was a Chelsea Pensioner. Can't find his birth anywhere! So thought I'd look for the baptism.
His mother Margaret BRADBURN was also born in Chester, so I thought I could start tracing her line as well.
This is a new area for me and not sure what records and what are available, any information would be lovely.
