Hello Keith,

It does sound as though your ancestor 'served' the prison service for some considerable length of time,
if his son was a small child when he took the position. Funny how our respective ancestors were
on different sides of the fence! I would dearly like to learn of the crim our John Culloden committed
and to find out the length of time was imprisoned.

I will make further enquiries at Chester when we go next week, I have made a note of your ancestors'
name, and should there be any mention will e-mail you with my findings.
