Not sure if I missed this and you all know - but the LDS FamilySearch Pilot
(http://search.labs.familysearch.org) now has in it a collection for
"Cheshire, Church of England Records 1538-1907"

This appears to be the full collection of LDS films for Cheshire. These are
the _UN_indexed films (as distinct from the collections "Cheshire, Church of
England Burial / Christening / Marriage Records 1538-1907", which ARE
indexed but have much less coverage)

Basically it looks to me as if you can go in and browse a register. If you
know a date already, and just want the full entry, you can binary chop your
way to the right record quite quickly.

(Binary chop - if there's 250 images in a register, go for halfway at 125 -
which half is your target date in? If it's in the lower half, go halfway
into that - record 62. Which half is it in? If it's the upper half, go
halfway into that - record 62+31 = 93. Repeat the process. Oh heck - it's
easier to do than say - and a lot faster than starting at 1 and plodding
thru 2, 3, etc)

Also, getting the marriage reference number from CheshireBMD first helps you
get there even faster.
