Subject: [CHS] Medals - and a bullet!

Listers, I was helping on the FHS Cheshire Bookstall on Saturday at The
Border Family History Fair at Alsager. We had a lovely day and I really
enjoyed chatting to everyone who came to the stall. One very shy gentleman
brought an envelope out of his pocket and said he thought I might like to
see what he had brought. He showed me his Grandfather's medals and was very
proud to have them. In addition he had a bullet which had been dug out of
his Grandfather and it had been attached to a clasp so that his Grandfather
could wear it along with his medals! I wonder if anyone else has come
across anything similar in their family history research? Regards, Lyn
