Subject: [CHS] A Great and Wicked Disturbance?
Date: Fri, 3 Jul 2009 12:21:38 +0100
According to the CPRdb the Heswall St Peter PR's contain the following
burial entry :-
5 August 1770
Margaret JACKSON, widow, Heswall
In the Additinal Information box is stated :-
'Whose Burial Was A Great And Wicked Disturbance'.
Can anyone suggest, please, what might have occurred at the funeral
to warrant such an observation?
Margaret is beieved to have been baptised on 5 March 1712 in Heswall St
Peter, daughter of Thomas CORBETT. She's thought to have married Thomas
JACKSON on 2 July 1739 in Bebington St Andrew, he predeceasing her by some
five months and being buried in Heswall St Peter (seemingly without
incident) on 12 March 1770.
