They do have quite a lot of detailed regimental information. You may
not have been looking in the right place - search the general
catalogue and use the WO code - for War office. You may not find
individual records but you should find something on the regiment.
This might include pay records, correspondence and so on.

For the actual info you would have to hire a researcher or make a
visit - not sure what services the PRO itself provides.
