To find _any_ Rootsweb list go to http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/

In the box marked "Find a mailing list", type something useful, e.g.
Aberdeen. That gets 2 lists:
ABERDEENfor "Aberdeenshire"
SCT-NECOASTfor "A mailing list for anyone with a genealogical
interest... More"

If you click on the link ABERDEEN, you'll get all the instructions.

(The only thing to watch is that with names like "Cheshire", you might click
on the list for the surname instead of the county. Just read what you're
getting carefully!)
