It's like a string of pearls, or a string of mystery. I was getting some
marriage records from St Mary's, Stockport Parish Church today. I have, I
believe the marriage record for John Arden and another one for Esther
Arden. These two, I believe are siblings.

Both marriages were by Banns. Have the Banns for St. Mary's survived?

My main question though is based on the residences of the two bridal
couples. John and his bride were living on Dan Bank in Marple, presumably
in their new home? Esther was living somewhere in Bredbury, and her
husband was living in Romiley. Now those three locales appear to have a
two mile spread. Would it be a good guess, that Esther was living at home
and that home being in Bredbury? There are no christening records in St
Mary's for this Arden family's children. So, I need to fan out and search
other churches to find Thomas, and Esther's christening, and other
siblings.
