My mother has a small Bible inscribed--
presented to Fanny Broady on her 21st birthday Feb 6th/80
by the employees of J&N Broady , 24 Shudehill, Manchester

It is apparently connected to my grandfather Wilberforce Howard Cooke but I
have no idea how.
Traced Fanny's family to
Robert Broady 1829-1888 b Stretford
Ann nee Baker b1827 m 1855 born Altrincham
William henry 1857
Fanny 1859
Charles 1864
Fanny married John Edward Lees 1898
only possible links are Altrincham where my grandfather [& father &
myself]lived & Lees was my gt grandmother's maiden name but can't link with
John Ed
Don't know if this Broady family links with anyone?
Although a Cheshire girl I have problems with ancestors straddling both
Lancashire & Staffordshire borders!
