I am in favour of reply to list. In addition perhaps the onus should be
that anybody that wants a private reply to a query should specifically ask
so in their initial query.
kind regards

It all depends what Listers want. When Cheshire Listers debated this in
the past, the vote went in favour of the present arrangement. However,
things change.
Perhaps its time for another vote: in a private reply to this email, or
publicly via the List. I will count the votes, publish the result and,
make any necessary changes to the List. The change is easily made.
Do Listers want:
- the present option where clicking on "Reply" sends a private reply
unless the Replier overrides it to send a public reply via the List,
- or the alternative where clicking on "Reply" sends a public reply
via the List unless the Replier overrides it to send a private reply.
