Gosh...I remember Scotts Emulsion. There was another Emulsion as well which we had before we went to school. It tasted gorgeous and I'd often have a sly sup when mum wasn't looking. Ahhh...just remembered the name..Angiers Emulsion.
As for all the others......I remember them well. There was also a block of green stuff which smelled lovely, that was for chilblains.
Ann.

Hi Cynthia,
The only one I don't recognise is Scotts Emulsion.
My granny swore by Wintergreen ointment & Thermogene. Rose Hip Syrup was a
regular in my winter diet as a child along with a daily dose of 'Raspberry
Vinegar & Olive Oil' & a Haliborange tablet.
Our medicine cabinet contained all the things on your list (except the
Scotts).
Wasn't life so much simpler then?!

I wonder if anyone has memories of any of these childhood pills and
potions.
rose hip syrup, syrup of figs, liquid paraffin, Wintergreen ointment, ,
Thermogene wool, Scotts emulsion, milk of magnesia, camphorated oil.
Cynthia
