Hello,
Evan and Elizabeth (QUAYLE) CORKILL / CORKHILL had 7 children while living in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Their 2nd son, Lewis CORKILL, died at Age 8. Their oldest son, Edward CORKILL, was on the Akbar Training Ship ~1871 and went to British Columbia, Canada, in 1873. When Elizabeth died in 1873, their 5 youngest children were placed in the "Liverpool Sheltering Homes" when it opened in 1873. The children were 15, 11, 9, 5, and 3. They became part of the Child Migrant Scheme and were shipped to Nova Scotia in 1874.
If you had checked out the archives of this Mailing List, you would have seen my postings about this family.
