Once in a while people mention that they have some sort of legal paper that
appears without seeing it to be from one of the Weir cases. I don't know of
anywhere anything is on-line. As far as I know, the last I heard, is that
those records are still being held by the family despite requests by the
local librarians in Miss. to release them. They are not putting pressure on
the family for fear the papers will be destroyed since it turned out so
badly for Lawyer Weir in the end.

I think Jacque Matte has seen some of the documents at the Natl. Archives,
but I'm not sure there is anywhere you can find them all in one place. I
believe the 1912 and 1902 lists we have previously posted are from that
bunch of records.

discussion on here a while back and wondered if anyone has possession of
what they contain, what they are about - exactly, names mentioned, anything
that might be of benefit to researchers if we can get anything online about
them? Or is there already something online about them? I wouldn't mind
putting them on my web site at

submitter or whatever, just so we can get them online to help others.
