Hello Carrie,

since you mentioned it, I too now recall that name being used on the
old Daniel Boone Show in reference to Ed Ames.

My first recollection of the term came from a book I came across in
the library, I think it may have been a university library, and it was a
number of years ago and it was in reference to Pushmataha and two other
Choctaw chiefs, who it seems co-existed with each chief controlling a certain
portion or tribal area of the Choctaw nation and they all had been given
medals by the US government for the service they provided to the defense of
the US at the time. Something like that. But it has been quite a while so
my memory may be very inaccurate.

Thanks for reminding me of the term used on the Daniel Boone show. I
always liked that show with Fess Parker and Ed Ames. I even had a Daniel
Boone coonskin cap and jacket. But I was real little then.

Thanks again,

John Craven
