Subject: [CIRCUS-FOLK] Maisey ? Born NJ Snake Charmer

The dates here would be early 1900's...They lived in Camden area before
joining the circus. Can anyone tell me the name of the Circus that
would have been active then? Around NJ, PA, DE?

Maizey was the Snake Charmer and Charles Camp?(second husband) was the
Barker for the circus.
Maizey was first married to a James Pierce. Maizey and James had a son
and daughter James and Doris.

My Pierce family search!
John Pierce Born 1892 Died 1936 waked at Leonards Funeral home, buried
in east Camden NJ.
His two brothers?
James (nickname Lucky)
George ( Hats)
Sisters:?
Josephine (had red hair)
Myrtle (married to a Kripts) nickname Bonnie
Margaret (married to a Kripts also) nickname Meg
Laura (had son named Deucy)?

John Sr's mother married a Monroe after her husband died (could be a
just a rumor)

Originally the family came over from Ireland with cousins named
Purciville (spelling)

Most of this Pierce family settled in South Jersey moving out of Camden
at some point.

My father (John Pierce JR. B 1934-5) was the son of John Pierce
(189?-1936-7) and Mary Camp Blood. They also had a daughter Lorraine
who is ten years older than my dad. We don't think she ever divorce
'Blood' but was common law to John Pierce for over ten years. When he
died of TB or something related.

Thank you!
Rebecca
