I want to pass along this interesting site I came across. For those of you who may have ancestors who were band musicians with the circus, this will be especially interesting.

It's a listing of all kinds of vintage brass bands. After you go to the link, scroll down to "Unspecified State Location." Scrolling, you'll find bands for Barnum & Bailey (several); Hagenbeck-Wallace; Jewell's Concert Band (Barnum & Bailey); Ned Brill's Band (also Barnum & Bailey); Sweets Concert Band (Ringling Brothers); Tinney's Band (Howe's Circus); Ringling Brothers (several). There's one of the "Ringling Circus Band Wagon," a close up, that's fun to view.
