I am writing a fictional novel with a protagonist who is a female
privateer during the Civil War. I am loosely basing the character on the
fifth child of General Lee, Eleanor Agnes Lee. There is a journal
written by her, called
Growing Up in the 1850's
The Journal of Agnes Lee
Edited and with Foreword by Mary Custis Lee deButts

I can't locate the journal. Any leads or ideas?

Any other information about female pirates during the civil war would be
welcome, too.

Thanks,
Marge
