JAMES MARTIN.
James Martin died at his home, 353 East Rittenhouse street, on Saturday last. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in the Fifty-sixth Regiment of Pennsylvania Volunteers as corporal of Company D for a term of three years from 1861. After the war he carried on the trade of stone mason until a few years ago, when failing health compelled his retirement. A widow and four children survive him. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, interment being made at the National Cemetery, Pittville.
