Obituary: 4 September 1909:

Ellis Post, No. 6, G.A.R., on Tuesday afternoon, attended the funeral services of its late member, Dr. John Ramsden, at the family residence, 4331 Frankford avenue, and took part in the service in the Frankford Presbyterian Church. Dr. Ramsden was 64 years old and died on August 27. During the Civil War he served in the 28th and 147th Regiments, Pennsylvania Volunteers, and Knapp's Battery of Veteran Volunteers. The interment was made at Oakland Cemetery.
