Subject: [CIVIL-WAR] lookup needed: 1870 missouri census, Dr. Charles
McDougal

> I am in need of a lookup for Dr. Charles McDougal in St. Louis County,
Missouri, in 1870. Supposedly, the widow and children of Confederate Brig.
General John Adams - killed 30 Nov 1864 at Franklin, TN - were in Dr.
McDougal's household.
>
> General Adams' wife was Georgiana McDougal, and their children were
Charles Adams, Thomas Adams, John Adams Jr., and Francis Adams, according to
the 1860 Shasta County, California census, at which time Adams was Captain
of the 1st Dragoons.
