Hello Board I am looking for info on Sarah Beard b. abt. 1722 I believe in Ireland, however I have been told the family origionated in Scotland...Her father was Alan Campbell...Sarah had a brother John who went to the U.S. in 1740 and owned alot of property in Pennsylvania and Virginia...When he died Sarah was the primary heir in his will...So since Sarah's husband, Henry Beard had died (bef. 1800) she and some of her grown children came to the U.S. in 1800, first to Pennsylvania and a little later to Kentucky...The reason they came to the states was because Sarah's brothers will had a stipulation that his heirs must live in the U.S. or forfeit their inheritance....I have quite a bit of info on the Beard line of this family, but none at all on the Campbell Line and none on either family in Ireland and Scotland....If anyone can help I would surely appreciate it and am willing to share what info I have....Thanks so much Lynette
