Hi, Cheryl.

While I'm not Dennis, I'm another Smith Kid with Duncan ancestry. From
what I understand, "na Donnachaidh" (The Duncans) or Clan Donnachaidh
are descendants of Duncan the Stout (Donnachadh Ramhar) of about 1100.
While I cannot trace my family quite that far, I have family records
taking it back to William Duncan, 1501, in Scotland.
