Hello Jannie.

I must apologise, to you to you and anyone who read ny reply to you,
for
the typing error on my initial The Census date should have been 1881 -

Sorry.

I have a copy of an article about the Hunters of South Africa, which I
saved
from the internet, It is probably too long to use on the list and I
don't
have the authors permission so, I will send it by separate email. Would
anyone else how would like to see this just ask.

Jannie, I am new to this job. Would you like to help me in an
experiment. I
am assuming from your posting that you are having difficulty in getting

information in South Africa. Would you consider placing a new posting
on
the board inviting researchers, who are interested in finding their
Hunter
ancestors, in South Africa, to place a thread to your message. You could
use
this as Clan Hunter South Africa Discussion forum.
I cannot say how successful this would be but it is worth a try. At
present the number of people reading this is not large - but thanks to
the
help of the Clan Newsletter editors, and website managers, it is growing

rapidly.
Kindest regards
Brian Hunter
