Hello Hunter researchers;
May I use this facility to inform Hunter researchers worldwide, of the existence of the Clan Hunter-l mailing list, and the Clan Hunter Message Board.
I have given the URLs for both at the end of this posting.
The main aim of the list/board is to advise users about the Clan Hunter, and its activities, and to encourage topics which are of interest to members. However the list/boards are open and non-members are welcome to participate. These are not Hunter surname list/boards, although inevitably users, with an interest in the Hunter name, do post surname queries. Admins have the means to move such messages to a more appropriate location. Unless there is an 'reject objection', our present policy is to leave the posting, in situ, help if we can and/or advise the poster, either on the list/board, or by separate email, whichever is considered appropriate, that their query would probably reach a much wider audience if it was posted to either this surname list, or an appropriate geographical list. Our hope is that this will help researchers and stimulate interest, by encouraging users to understand mailing list/boards can be an effective method of furthering their family h!
istory research.
May I invite anyone who may have an interest in the Clan Hunter, to visit either the mailing list or the message board, where I think they may find something of interest. Please feel free to join in the discussions.
All postings to the message board do appear on the mailing list.
