Thanks David for your welcome. I am going to be an observer on this
list, as I can only check my mtDNA - not my father's line which is the
McMillan line. I have only just had the first reading (HVR1) taken by
the National Geographic and have extended it to a second HRV2 through
Family Tree DNA. I look forward to reading other's contributions to
this list and learning more - as I know almost nothing! My McMillan
family come from Mull, Argyllshire Scotland (the earliest record that
I have is 1786).
