Subject: BEAN/DONLEY - BEAN/TORBERT
Date: Sat, 27 Nov 2004 20:48:40 -0800
Researching Barnabas Bean and Plato Bean, who I suspect are father and son.
Barnabas married Mary Donley on 24 June 1838 in Clark Co, Ohio. He died
before January 3, 1839 as James Taylor was named administrator of his estate
on that date. Does anyone know if death/burial records were kept in Clark
County then?
Plato married Kathanne Ann Torbert (Catherine Ann Torbert) in Clark Co, Ohio
on March 17, 1841. Document was returned and recorded on Sept 7, 1841. On
1850 Census, they are in Madison Co, Ohio, Sommerford Twp, with 2 children.
They have at least 5 children and either Plato dies, they divorce or
something because Catherine marries again in DeWitt Co, IL in Feb 1858. Can
anyone suggest how I might find out what happened to Plato?
Any help appreciated.
