Marilyn, you didn't mention a marriage date for Cornelius and Patience.
Portsmouth Marriages, 1-72 Clarke, Cornelius, of Newport, and Patience
Carter, of Portsmouth; m. by William Sanford, Dec. 24, 1741 (Arnolds Vital
Records of Rhode Island). (I have the cd, but there is no index except for
each individual town which makes searching long and tedious.
