It looks like you and I need to discuss notes on Marcus Clayton. I have,
in
my family one Marquesda L. Clayton (always called Marcus), who was born
1 Aug 1854 in Forsyth County, GA. No one in our searches have ever been
able to fill in any information on him. I have this family back to 1663
in VA,
and all the way up to now.
Marcus' parents were John M. Clayton born SC, and Amarilus Adaline
Clayton born Hall County, GA, both born 1825. They married in Forsyth
Co.,
GA on 2 Mar 1847, and lived several places in GA, until they moved to TX
in about 1876. Some of their children remained in GA. Amarilus' father
was
born in SC, but we have not been able to establish the parentage of John
M.
