Look, I just found this message by searching the Clayton Genweb message
board.. looks like your line!! BTW, sorry, I don't know anyone from your
line myself..

Susan Elizabeth Clayton was my ggrandmother. She was born Apr 22, 1827 in
Ohio, married John Van Benthuysen Oct 1, 1844 in Shelby Co. IN. She died Mar
20, 1911 in Washington Twp in Marion Co., IA. Her father Thomas Claton
Clayton was born Jun 12, 1798 in Salem, Harrison, WV married Elizabeth Laird
Oct 12, 1829 in Warren, OH died Oct 29, 1874 in Shelby, In. His father
Thomas Claton Clayton was born 1747 in England, married Elizabeth Rosa Brand
abt 1765, he died Jan 17, 1813 in Greene Co. Oh. I have more information on
Elizabeth Brand if you need it. Hope this helps. Let me know.
