In Correction to my Lancshire Claytons John Clayton and Mary Baines Clayton
had 7 children
Sarah, Catherine, William, John, Joseph, James and Alfred my g.grandfather.
If there is anyone out there connected to these Claytons I would love to
hear from you.
I also have a possible family in Chorley for John Clayton b. 1851 but only
from the IGI information which I know is not carved in stone. There is a
family listed Joseph and Jane Dakin Clayton married Oct. 13, 1844 in Chorley
with children Elizabeth 1845, Robert, 1847, William, 1849, Richard 1849 and
John 1851. If I can find them on the 1851 I am hoping they may still be at
the same address on the 1861 to find them. Of course I do know there may be
other John Claytons born in the same time period only solid proof will link
them but at least it is a start.

I also wanted to mention I have a family tree copy from a neighbor whose
Clayton line is back to a Joseph Clayton born in 1880 in Bradford, Yorks.
married a Nellie Wright and moved first to Hamilton, Ontario then to
Detroit, Michigan. Their children were Frank, John, Hilda, Mary, Albert and
Ellen.
