Hi, Tim:

The 1st Attorney General of Virginia was JOHN CLAYTON, Sr., father of "the
Botantist." It seems like many of this Clayton family members were lawyers
or judges. My line of Clayton's ended when ELIVIRA CLAYTON married PHILIP G.
TURPIN in 1814.
