Hi,

Having lived in Mold for several years in the 1960s, this location intrigued me. Searching brought up the following entry in FreeCen for the 1891 census:

RG12/4610
Mold, Bistre, Padeswood, Llong, Buckley, Mynydd Isa, Leeswood, Pontblyddyn, Broncoed, Arddynwent, Gwernaffield, Rhydymwyn, Pantymwyn, Waen, Nerquis

Looking at the area covered, the only named place omitted from this area is Gwernymynydd, and I wonder whether this could be the modern name? One would have to pass through Gwernymynydd to get from Waen to Nerquis directly.

Regards,

Keith in N.Z.
