This is a new mail-list. I am sure requests for lookups will be
acknowledged as soon as a subscriber/volunteer happens to have access to
the particular census someone needs. Some subscribers have requests,
others have copies of certain census rolls. The best thing to do is
check the county site you are researching and see if there is a census
transcription, index, or images online. If not put the query on this
list to see if someone else may have a copy. It is a very tedious
process of going through reel after reel looking for a certain name.
Have patience. Some volunteers access to the census at a library and may
only go once a month.

Be patient! Better yet volunteer to transcribe or index a portion of a
census. Eventually, the whole census will be indexed and it will be
easier for all of us!
