PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE MESSAGE AND KEEP IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

If you are subscribed to multiple census lookup lists you will receive this
email more than once. My apologies in advance.


         PLEASE FOLLOW THE LIST GUIDELINES BELOW.
Disregard of these guidelines may result in your lookup being ignored.

The ONLY posts allowed for these lists are census lookup requests or replies
to those requests. NO other e-mails are allowed. The lists are to stay on
topic at all times. Ignoring this rule may result in unsubscription and loss of
posting privileges.

NOTE RE: XX-CENSUS-LOOKUP, Please replace the "XX" WITH THE STATE
ABBREVIATION FOR THE STATE LIST(S) THAT YOU BELONG TO.

Guidelines for posting to the CENSUS-LOOKUP lists

SUBJECT LINES should be in the following format:
COUNTY,YEAR,SURNAME

Please include as much of the following information as you know about the
person(s) you are researching:
FIRST NAME/MIDDLE NAME/AGE/BIRTHPLACE/SPOUSE OR CHILDREN.  Please include
street address or township, if known.

NO FLAMING or you will be unsubbed without notice. By this I mean not only
being rude or mean to each other but there will be NO and I do mean NO
debating here about the Census Projects. This list is for everyone who wants
to research.

NO General requests such as "all Smiths in all counties"
Be specific, Name the County, Family you are looking for and also the year.
Try to supply as much info as possible.

LIMIT your requests to ONE COUNTY/ONE CENSUS YEAR/ONE SURNAME or HOUSEHOLD.
DO NOT POST ANOTHER REQUEST UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED A REPLY FROM YOUR FIRST
REQUEST or a REASONABLE (7 days) length of time has passed with no reply.
Then, repost your original request prefaced by "Second Request" in the
subject line.

Please DO NOT post a listing of resources that you personally have available
for lookups.

Please DO NOT request a listing of resources personally to members of the
mailing list.

PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE THE LIST OR THE PEOPLE WHO MAY HELP YOU THERE.

What ever you did to subscribe to this list, you succeeded. Should you decide

to unsubscribe please read the instructions below. I have also included these

instruction in the email taglines.

You are currently subscribed in "mail mode," which means that you will
receive every posting made to XX-CENSUS-LOOKUP as a separate e-mail.   The
directions on how to change to digest mode are given below.
