Thank you so much for your help, I´ve been really curious about what happened to the family after they arrived in the US. I have a book about the village outside Luleå, where Carl Erik and Matilda were born, that says that they were wed in Leadville. In this book there is also a picture of Carl Erik Norberg and Matilda Nordström, that, according to the text, is taken in Colorado.

Matildas father, Johannes, and two brothers Erik and Nils Petter died in the sealhunting accident in 1885.

Translation of the text on the memorialstone that stands in the village:

In memory
of
7 succomed
sealhunters

A strong northwest storm
17 – 18 june 1885
became their fate

Boat team from ”Långsund”
Johannes Nordström with sons Erik and Nils Petter

Boat team from “Mörön”
Anders Östling with son Alfred
and son-in-law Nils August Eriksson
and his brother Johannes Eriksson,
“Långnäs”

The stone was raised 1992 through the village.

I have a picture of the stone, that was taken last summer (both my grandmother on my father, and mothers side are born in the same village).

Thank you again for your help. If you want me to send the picture of the stone, and the picture that is in the book, please e-mail me for direct contact.
