Send me privately the information you have on your great grandfather. I have a sister in Edinburgh and a couple of friends
in Ayr, Scotland. Let me see if they know of anything or are able to research for you.
It's a long shot and no promises, but I'll do my best.
Are you also researching Joseph Maton - Black Watch. If you can obtain his military records this will help you a great
deal in your research. I just finished gathering my grandfathers information from the Great War and have submitted for him
to receive the Purple Heart and various other medals posthumously. It's not that hard.
