Source: Source: Denver Public Library, COLORADO MARRIAGES, 1858-1939, CD-ROM (Denver: Colorado Genealogical Society, 2004), pages 5790, 5791

EBERT, Clara Grace married SCOTT, C. W., 01 Jun 1903, JeffersonCounty, License no. 2517
EBERT, John Dwight married FRANKLINE, Nellie Jane, 01 Jun 1903, Jefferson County, License no. 2518

There are two licenses for Martha Ebert and John Smith (Martha Ebert & John Smith probaly didn't actually get married after purchasing the first license.):

EBERT, Martha married SMITH, John, 03 Nov 1887, Jefferson County, License no. 383
EBERT, Martha married SMITH, John, 26 Aug 1889, Jefferson County, License no. 627

You can obtain copies of the marriage license and return from the Jefferson County Clerk & Recorder (http://co.jefferson.co.us/ext/dpt/officials/clkrec/index.htm)

On a hunch I did a search of the Colorado Divorce/Dissolution Web site (http://www.sctc.state.co.us/marriages/divorces.aspx) and found:

Petitioner EBERT, MARTHA H County JEFFERSON
Respondent EBERT, AUGUST Decree Date 08/26/1889
Docket # 001054 Decree Type Divorce

A copy of the divorce files might produce a maiden name for Martha, and possibly the names of all children born to the couple. I honestly don't have any idea what information they contain. You can request the records from the Clerk of the district court--Jefferson County is in the 1st district (http://www.courts.state.co.us/district/01st/dist01.htm)

Last, but not least, I found on Ancestry.com that August EBERT filed two land claims at the Denver Land Office. The claims whould have been made between 1862 and 1908.
