la valley is probably a nickname, no sense to it. the orginal name was
"el rito de san francisco", then "el rito de gregorio martin". also sometimes
called simply el rito and colonias. what families are you researching.
i have done medina, martin, martin(ez), taylor segura, vialpando and many
more. am working on a book on the first settlers in el rito.
