Barb,
If they both died in this area-rather than dying elsewhere and being buried in
Mt. Olivet--Death certificates after 1900 were a state responsibility and
Mary Ann should have a state of CO death certificate that you could obtain
through the CO Dept. of Vital Recs. Before 1900, death recs. were a county
responsibility. Thus, Franklin Pierce might be on file with the state or
might be on file with the county. Jefferson County has not had records
for those I have been looking for who died in the 1890's.
Also, 1900, 1910, and 1920 census records for Mary Ann and 1880 and, perhaps,
1900 census records for Franklin Pierce. Also, possibly a Mortality Schedule
for Franklin Pierce connected with the 1900 census for Franklin Pierce.
I can provide more details on where to look if you need them. Are you
related to Harry Kissell and Holly Kissell ?
