MESSAGE FROM ROME AT DENVER WEDDING
The most brilliant event of the social week will be the wedding of Miss Gertrude Lillian SCHLACKS and George O. DOSTAL at St. Elizabeth's tomorrow evening. The young people are very prominent and also popular, and the church will be crowded to the doors by the hundreds of friends anxious to witness the elaborate and impressive service.
One unusual feature will be the bestowal of the papal blessing, which was obtained through the solicitation of Rev Father GUIDA, an intimate friend of the groom.
The church is to be beautifully decorated with Easter lillies and palms and the new vestments of gold cloth, heavily embroidered, will be worn by the priests. Father FRANCIS, the pastor of the church, will perform the ceremony, assisted by Father WEIR of the Church of the Sacred Heart. The choir will sing the bridal chorus from Lohengrin, adding much to the beauty of the march, usually played without the vocal accompaniment.
The bride will wear a lovely gown of white taffeta with Brussels net overdress and her veil fastened with lillies of the valley. Her attendants will all be in white and carrying Easter lillies. The maid of onor will be Miss Lulu COORS of Golden and Miss Louise SCHLACKS and Miss Helen KRANZ of Chicago the bridesmaids. John SCHILLING will act as best man and Samuel YOUNG, Edward SCHILLING and William NIXON, ushers.
One of the brilliant features of the ceremony will be the attendance of the Knights of St. John in full regallia, of which organization Mr. Dostal is a very popular member.
After the ceremony a wedding supper will be served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Schlacks, corner of Tenth and Grant. The young couple will leave the same evening for a wedding trip, returning to be at home to their friends June 3 at 2432 Stout.
