Christina:
I have ordered a number of death certificates for individuals who died
in Denver. It depends on the informant, the person providing the
information at the time of death, and how much they knew about the
deceased. Some of the certificates include parents' names and some just
say "unknown" in the space. For the death certificates I have received I
have noted that some of the names and dates that are given are correct,
some are approximations and some are just plain wrong. If you are using
a death certificate to help substantiate what you already know they can
be of help.
Obituaries can be helpful as well. Check both the Denver Post and the
Rocky Mt. News; I have found different information in each paper's
obituaries for the same person (additional living brothers and sisters
for instance).
Good luck,
Laurie

I am considering trying for a Death Certificate from Denver (1940).
Can anyone tell me if parents names are listed?
Thanks,
Chris
