My only COFFIN is my greatgrandmother's father, who while on his
way back
home from the Civil War met my grgr grandmother in Maine, then
continued on
his way. Perhaps he was headed for Quebec.

I have a 1" tin type of him and one of these days I will post it to a
website and give the Coffin-List the link. I believe if someone
else out
there has the same photo I'll have the correct line to start
investigating.

My greatgrandmother, Anna Marie COFFIN was born in WI, moved to
Iowa, then
Elk Point, SD. She wrote that she heard Charles Coffin moved to
Council
Bluffs, IA, but never traveled down to meet him. She wasn't sure
he even
knew she existed.
