On another non-genealogy board, we were posed the question of, which superpower would you like to have and name the pros and cons of having this superpower. I chose the power to go back in time and talk to my ancestors. The pro would be that I could get my questions answered. The con would be that maybe I don't really want to know the answers.
I'm from the Martha's Vineyard Coffins, and the intermarriages on that Island are legendary. So I can totally relate to this article. There is a small stone in a Catholic cemetery in Thompson, CT., that just says "Pray For Me." No name, dates, and there's even no record of who is buried there, although there is definitely someone there. Makes you think.
