Whose relative is this Coffman?

"Officers and men of the Texas army who participated in the battle fought here April 21, 1836, or in the skirmish of the previous day." (The Battle of San Jacinto where Texas won her independence from Mexico and became the Republic of Texas { a sovereign nation}). Later the United States joined Texas.
